Kahon 22: The Future of the Conservatory

Kahon 22 represents an avant-garde vision of the potential landscape of future conservatories. At its core, this innovative concept relies on a modular construction approach, revolutionizing the traditional design paradigms, while seamlessly integrating efficient and interconnected building systems.

The design ethos of Kahon 22 revolves around a paradigm shift in the architectural language of conservatories. Embracing a modular construction methodology, the project propels the evolution of these spaces by introducing a systematized approach to construction. This modular framework not only streamlines the building process but also fosters adaptability and scalability, ensuring responsiveness to diverse environmental contexts and user needs.

Kahon 22 is a finalist in the David Salisbury's Future of the Conservatory Internation design competition. The proposal takes on a modular coordinated system that is adaptable to different site conditions and context.

Each module/unit is a 3000x3000x3300 mm box that features the basic functions of a typical conservatory. One module could be used as an independent system or it could be combined with other units to form a more complex assembly.
